Your Labor in Love

6 Apr

In prayer this morning, I began to thank GOD that my Love has been steadfast and immovable. As I processed that out in prayer, I began laughing. I thought to myself, “Wow, GOD…. Loving has been hard work!” Holy Spirit had me look at 1 Corinthians 15:58, which talks about being steadfast and immovable:

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the LORD.”

Hmmm…. Your Labor in what? In whatever you do to HIS glory. The choice to LOVE, in spite of your many reasons why you shouldn’t, will not be in vain. LOVE is a work of the LORD. It’s WHO HE is, and it’s what WE do. Our LOVE for one another is what connects US to HIM. How do others know WE are HIS? By our LOVE.

Verse 57 of 1 Corinthians says this:

“But thanks be to GOD, Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Only after we are assured the victory, does the scripture tell us to be steadfast and immovable… Your labor in LOVE is not futile and will produce after its kind because…. You already have the victory… Now, it’s time to WIN with one of your greatest weapons… LOVE.
